Wild and Wooly was the racing on Saturday resulting in a $75,414 P6 Carryover and a $29,391 Super High Five Carryover in Race Nine.
It's been a very rough week and we're looking to pull it out with our P4 Plays both early (races 2-3-4-5) and late (races 6-7-8-9). We'll also venture trifecta plays in races six, seven, and nine!
Race four appears the toughest in the P6 sequence, so we're using 4 horses in our $48 Pick six play trying to hit the carryover.

Race Six - It appears the 2-4-8 will take most of the wagering dollars and likely drive up the odds on 3 long shots in this race beyond their morning line (#1 morning line 8:1, #2 morning line 12:1, #3 morning line 15:1) I favor #1 Classical Slew with the best chance to beat the favorites.

I enjoy the night racing on Fridays at Hollywood Park. It's a great way to wrap up the weekdays and get into the weekend.
We've got some work to do on Friday evening, after a disappointing opener on Thursday.......7 of 8 on the Place Pick All hurt the most (and it paid very well)........we charge forward into Friday's card.............
I'm playing $291 on Friday night in an attempt to get us back into the black prior to the weekend. I do like the 8-race card. Here's the outline of our plays:

I believe the Late Pick Four to be the key to getting the new week started off in the black using 3 horses in the fifth, 5 in the sixth, 3 in the seventh and five again in the eighth. He's the outline of our Thursday Hollywood Plays:

Our Free Friday Long Shot appears early Friday at Hollywood Park. I like #6 Tribal Beauty in the second at 8:1. It's an afternoon card on Friday (rather than night racing) with First Post at 1:00am
Tip of the Day:
Look for a very good single (often not the favorite) in a connecter race to the Derby, so you can "All" the Derby leg. If you are right it's always a very good winning ticket and often a huge winning ticket!

The Derby Post Position draw was completed today and I feel it came out very fortunate for the main contenders (many contenders), as it would have been a shame for the 6 big horses to get a bad post and none did!. Yes, I'm down to six horses with a very good chance to be The Kentucky Derby winner and four more that could be–best line up for the Derby in many years!
Any way you shape it, no one in this race is better than 4:1 and several we like are very big odds—I'll discuss some betting strategy tomorrow which includes the connecter races, which are very key to the P3 and P4 surrounding The Derby!
Derby Day is a great opportunity! Plan to play more money on Derby Day, as it's one of the very best wagering days of the year! Put more money into action as one big play could return multiples of what we see on a normal day.
We'll get our week started at Hollywood Park on Thursday, first post 1:00pm PDT, a good time to build up the bankroll for the great action on Saturday!
If you haven't already, don't overlook the savings in buying our full Triple Crown Package. It's a very good deal rather than buying each race day individually! By this time next week we'll all know who the Kentucky Derby winner is and I won't be surprised with a long shot winner, as there are several very good priced horses with win capability!
You don't have to be a genius to identify the favorite after Bodemeister's huge run in the Arkansas Derby, by far the most impressive of all the Derby preps! Personally, I wish he had saved that effort for May fifth as 108 would have very likely taken the Derby down, but you definitely can not leave him out.
At this stage of the game, the young 3-year olds develop amazingly over just a few weeks and I've still got several in contention at huge odds. All the horses get to Kentucky this week and the run up to Saturday will be interesting and Fun as always.
More tomorrow. As we predicted in yesterday's Advisory, we have a Large P6 Carryover at Hollywood Park on Saturday—$65,323 will roll over into the Pick Six Pool!
Races Five and Eight appear the toughest to pick The Winner, so we're using 3 horses in each of these races on our $36 Baseline Pick Six Ticket.
It's another very good race card to kick off the first weekend of the Meet. I'm going with Trifecta plays in the second, fourth, fifth,eighth, and tenth and a $20 BalWaL superfecta in the sixth.

Free Friday Long Shot will be #12 in race 7, Hollywood Park at 20:1....Bonita Montana Opening Day at Hollywood Park on Thursday was everything we expected! A real good 8-race card and a couple nice long shot winners—especially the $106 horse in the sixth which returned everyone $711 for our $42 Trifecta play. We also hit the tri in the last race to cap off a good start to the Hollywood 50-day Meet.
On to Friday:
We are back under the lights for night racing which starts at 7:00pm PDT. It's a very good 9-race card and I'm already predicting a P6 carryover into Saturday.
On Friday we'll continue to use the "All" position on Top for some of our Trifecta Plays , as well as, some small, but strong, Power Plays with the Top Picks.

The prices will be very good all day and the Derby itself will be Terrific! It's better to play a strong $20 straight exacta than $1 four-horse EBX for almost the same money. Think hard about your selections and once you've formed your opinion GO FOR IT! If you're right you will collect in a huge way, and if not you still made the right play! I'd rather blow $50 on an exacta play I liked which lost than win a measley amount. It's the way big winners think and that's what we want to be......... A Big Winner on Derby Day!
